Pack 93 Scouts can participate in the race with their Pinewood Derby car, or may volunteer to help with the race.
Friday, April 11th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM: Car weigh-in and drop off in the Cavett multi-purpose room, enter through Door #6.
Saturday, April 12th from 9:00 AM until the last checkered flag falls - RACE DAY (Specific race times and heat assignments will be emailed out as we get closer to Race Day) in the Cavett multi-purpose room, enter through Door #6.

This event will be open to all Cub Scouts. Individual Cub Scouts or Packs can come out and take advantage of the ranges. Come out and earn your belt loop or pin.
Fee is $5.00 per person. All youth participating must be signed up.

Jubilee is Scouting at its best! Join the Mid-America Council, Cornhusker Council, and Overland Trails Council in this showcase event. The Cub Scout Day of Awesomeness is an opportunity for Cub Scouts (K-5th grade) and their families to start the year off with a fun outdoor event. New and existing Cub Scouts are invited to come.

Meet at the playground. From there, we will find a picnic shelter to set up a base camp. We will go on a hike first, then we will work on advancements and have some free time. We will have lunch around noon. Scouts wear Class B shirt.

Cub Scouts: Sky is the Limit - Night at the Museum Strategic Air and Space Museum (SAC) Up, up, and away! Take your Pack on an evening adventure full of special aerospace activities. Launch stomp powered rockets, tour the planes, future Artemis lunar landing module, eat pizza, spend time with your friends and lots lots more.

Great Pumpkin Shoot Out!
Sunday, November 3rd from 1-5 PM
Outdoor Education Center (800 S 120th St, Lincoln, NE 68520)
Come shoot at some pumpkins! We will feature Shotguns, Tomahawks and Throwing Knives for Scouts BSA and Archery for the Cubs! Guns, ammunition, equipment and hearing/eye protection will be provided.
Cub Scouts: Price is $5.00
Adults: Price is $5.00 for 5 shots plus knife throwing. Each additional shot is $1.00 a piece.
Hot apple cider will be provided by Troop 222.

Veterans Parade
Sunday, November 10th at 2:00 PM (arrive no later than 1:30 PM)
Parade Route: K St., S. 21st to 14th Street
Scouts wear Class A uniform and pants, no shorts please.
Meet in the Walker Staging area (Area E) near the north parking lot at Lincoln High School. Click to see the map. Personal vehicles will NOT be allowed on the Lincoln High School property. Scouts and families can use the Nelnet parking lot at S 21st & K street or the ballfield's parking lots on L street, east of The Mill.
All Scout Leaders and Scouts should plan to be in the staging area no later than 1:30 PM. We will hang out on the school greens and walkways until the unit number is called. The lead Color Guard steps off at 2 pm from S 22nd and K street. The lincolnveteransparade.org website has a parade program and link for the live streaming.
De-staging of the parade entry is on the south side of the Capitol Building (H street), exiting south on 16th street. Do Not Stop On 14th Street. There are no plans for transporting walking units back to LHS. Please plan accordingly. There are parking lots on the east side of S 16th street, south of K street.

September Events
Pledge of Allegiance and Flag Raising Ceremony
Monday, September 11th at 8:15 AM at Cavett.
Have your Scout wear his/her Class B uniform (navy blue Pack 93 t-shirt).
After s/he checks in with her/his teacher upon arrival in the morning, s/he can go to the main office around 8:15 AM.
There, they will accompany Ms. Dering to raise the flag (half-staff) and say the Pledge of Allegiance.
4th and 5th Graders will come out to watch, and it will be videotaped so that teachers of grades K-3 can show it to their kids throughout the week.
Community Event: Are you interested in learning more about the Lincoln Wastewater System?
The free, 100-Year Anniversary Celebration will be September 17th from 1-5 PM at the Theresa Street Water Resource Recovery Facility, 2400 Theresa Street.

Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach Shine the Light Walk Fundraiser
Sunday, December 10th at 5:00 PM at Antelope Park
Have you ever thought about sleeping outside in frigid temperatures? This is the reality for those experiencing unsheltered homelessness during the winter months. The freezing weather brings challenging conditions and creates a high risk of developing life-threatening conditions such as frostbite and hypothermia.
In an effort to increase the awareness and understanding of those experiencing homelessness during the wintertime, Matt Talbot will hold its first Shine the Light Walk on Sunday, December 10th at Antelope Park at 5 p.m.
This 1-mile walk is an opportunity to learn what homelessness looks like in the winter and how we can help. To learn more, please contact Jenn Boettcher at jenn.boettcher@mtko.org.

Come engineer at the Cub Scout S.T.E.M. Saturday adventure Up and Away! Scouts will build and race in an exhibitory rain gutter regatta, as well as test/ modify airfoils and how they affect airplanes in flight. Scouts will go on a virtual tour of a wind tunnel facility.
